Coast Trip 2015

We had an extra passenger on our road trip down to the beach.  They were so excited to ride together and had big plans for their "iPads" for the trip!

And within thirty minutes...

But the long naps made for happy road trippers.

This year's beach trip was much different than years past...there wasn't much relaxing on the beach so much as chasing kids left and right!

A pretty cute bunch of kids!  These big girls just had the best time with each other - so fun watching them play!

And I see lots of trouble making in the future of these two!

We had such a fun weekend building castles, digging holes and catching up with the family!  Too much eating, not enough sleep and tons of memories.

Saturday morning Tia Sylvia threw the cutest tea party for all the girls (and Ty) and they are still talking about it!

Then it was back to the beach for more digging and building and getting as much sand on every part of our bodies as possible.

We had the best weekend with our beach babes!

And just like that we were headed home, listening to my dad sing songs in Spanish to us....

Easter Weekend 2015

What a great Easter weekend we had this year!  The kids are both at such a fun age, Ty just getting around and into everything and Sawyer really starting to understand what Easter is all about.  We spent Good Friday in Yoakum hunting eggs, working cows (not me), and hanging out with family.

On Saturday, we had our traditional Easter lunch and, egg dying and egg hunt at Grandma Cowan and Papaw's.  After a great meal, we hid hundreds of eggs and both the kids found prize eggs!  And, no Easter egg hunt is complete without a game of Easter egg baseball.

We came back Saturday afternoon because we had a wedding to attend that evening.  It was the most beautiful backyard wedding for my friend Bailey and her now husband Clay.  We really enjoyed the night out!

On Easter Sunday, we went to church and then had brunch at my parent's house.  And this picture is just my favorite.  It is so ridiculous.

We had a huge, wonderful lunch and then went for our first swim of the season.  In the heated hot tub.

We finished off our Easter Sunday by spending the prize egg money on a family ice cream date!  Because we hadn't eaten enough allllll weekend...

It was a great weekend and I am eternally thankful for all the family that we get to spend these holidays with reflecting on our faith and making memories with our kiddos!!
