These months are flying by faster and faster! Sawyer turned 23 months on November 1st.
With every day that passes, Sawyer's personality grows exponentially.
She is so, so sweet and SO silly!
The dancing, singing and conversations are non-stop. Her favorite songs to sing are ABCs in English and some form of Spanish ABCs - its different every time - and wheels on the bus. Her other favorites are anything Disney, milk, Pots, Pie, babies and helping me cook.
She insists on wearing her "Sef's hat" to cook. We went up to Dallas for a quick trip and I took her into the Disney store at the mall. It was heaven on Earth for her. She kept saying "wook at dis mom!" and was hugging every stuffed toy she could get her hands on.
Somehow, we left empty handed. We also spent a weekend in College Station.
She had a blast tailgating and running around with her cousins.
Cheetos and milk, what more could you need?? The weekend we went, the game was at 8 PM and it was supposed to be really cold, but last minute some tickets came up so we decided to give it a shot, not expecting Sawyer to last too long. She was really apprehensive at first, but quickly warmed up and had a great time.
My mom bought tickets to take the girls to see Disney on Ice. These blonde curly headed BFFs had soooo much fun!
We spent a weekend in Yoakum as well and took all the kids to the corn maze.
It was a perfect afternoon of climbing, sliding, animals and running around!
Sawyer LOVES going to school every day, she asks about her "fwends" all the time. She is doing really well with her Spanish - she is always singing songs and we have no idea what she is saying. Carrying her "wunch-pack" is a must.
She unfortunately takes after me and is not at all a morning person if we have to wake her up. It is a nice little struggle every morning to get dressed, but she does love to do her "pintails." She always asks for two and then says "its wike a kit-cat."
Her potty training is going really well at school, not so much at home. She continues to be a picky eater but has eaten meat a handful of times, which is progress. She always offers Barry and I whatever she is eating off of her plate - so sweet. We had decided a while back that we were going to move the crib out of her room around her second birthday. She sleeps on a cot at school, so we didn't think it would be too big of a deal for her to switch to her big-girl bed. We left the crib mattress on the floor for a couple days. This is her practicing…
But this is how it actually turned out…
We have since moved her to the actual bed, with sides, and she is doing great. She is loving hosting tea parties and breakfast in her big girl room with all her toys.
The end of November finally brought some colder weather - enough to have a fire, which Sawyer was terrified of at first! Wouldn't go into the living room. But, she has come around and is much more comfortable now.
She found that Bumbo seat in our mess of cleaning out baby stuff and has claimed it as her chair. We also started to get some Christmas decorating done at the end of November, I can't wait to experience all of this with her. She is already loving everything "Chwismas" - especially the "colors & sparkle shoes" aka Christmas lights.
