Ty: 34 Week Update

I have officially reached the point of uncomfortable.  With 6 more weeks to go……..

I feel GIANT and little things are all the sudden much more difficult to do - laundry, putting shoes on - exhausting!  Sleeping is on and off.  Some nights its is the best sleep ever! Some nights its like I didn't sleep but ten minutes.

I did have a wonderful surprise baby shower during this week though.  We had our usual monthly small group bible study scheduled and someone sent a text saying dinner would be provided so come hungry…no problem.  I just thought someone wanted to treat us or had a gift card or something.  I guess I saw a couple baby gifts but really didn't think anything of it since we are having baby boom #2 in our group, the little cakes didn't even register with me - they finally clued me in that it was a shower for me!  I was so surprised.  I am beyond thankful for this group of women to go through life with.  They are great friends who are always challenging me and inspiring me to grow in my faith, which I truly appreciate.  And they throw fun parties =)  Sawyer was also very thankful for the "cuuuuuuuute" baby presents and had to try this "yacket" on "It's fit me, mom?"

We had our 34 week appointment today.  Last night was clearly one of those nights where I didn't sleep much…

But everything went well.  His heart beat was 140 and I gained a couple pounds.  We go again in two weeks and then start weekly appointments.

In the meantime, Sawyer is LOVING all the extra baby stuff around.  She is baby obsessed.  And pie (paci) obsessed.

She insisted that we take her baby on a walk when the weather finally warmed up a bit - I foresee a lot a walks with Ty & friends in the future.

I was really feeling lately like he is WAY bigger than Sawyer was at this point, but after looking at old pictures, looks like I was bigger with Sawyer.

We are so close to finishing Ty's room. I have done more since I took these pictures, but here's a glance…

I love the way the headboard turned out!  Barry did an awesome job...

It is finally all coming together!

January Birthdays

Side note: I decided to change the name of my blog.  I was totally sick of the other name/design/layout…everything...and since there are going to be four of us now, I think we can be considered a "bunch."  I am working on changing the look of it, but I'm not that great with this whole design thing - or patience - so in time…

We have a lot of family birthdays in January and this year we attended a lot of celebrations for those birthdays!  Sawyer is really into birthdays, she usually tells me Happy Birthday at least once a day so she had such a blast at all the parties!  The cake didn't hurt either.  The first was Evelyn's first birthday.

Becky and Michael had a small get together at their house one afternoon to celebrate Evy's first year.  We were all really excited for her to get to eat her cake because she is a great eater…she did not disappoint and provided quite the entertainment while she put a big dent in her cake!!

She also enjoyed opening her presents - we looked over at one point to find her sitting there by herself digging through bags.

And, watching the big girls be crazy!  I love the way she watches them and looks at them like they are just nuts.  Which isn't totally off base sometimes…

Next up was Brie's 20th birthday.  I can't believe she is 20.

My parents had a wonderful dinner at their house to celebrate.  These little girls just love Pee-Pee/Brie-Brie.

Then Brody & Blake's 4th birthday party was up!  Tammy had their party out in the country - which to Sawyer immediately means "I drive Daddy!"

After a quick visit to the cows, it was time to play.  She was hanging with all the boys proving her love for football.

The boys had a Jake and The Neverland Pirates party.  Logan wasn't too sure about it!

They were all 1000% sure about Grandma's cupcakes though and couldn't wait to dig in!

After the boys opened their presents…

everyone hung out by the fire.  You better believe Sawyer stayed reeeeeeeeal close to Pampa and that bag of marshmallows.

Sawyer had such a fun time driving Cora & Evelyn's Dora car, she was so excited to get to drive the tractors too.  The side of the barn and tires on the trucks parked out there didn't fare so well with Sawyer behind the wheel, but she had fun.

Sawyer wore this hat for a few days after we came home and kept saying she wanted to go the party again.

And just so that you can all see what a talented husband I have…

He found these stilts in the storage building…and fortunately didn't break any bones while trying them out!  Another fun weekend in Yoakum!

And a fun month of celebrating all the birthdays!

Ty: 32 Week Update

I have this feeling of UGGHH I still have 8 more weeks left mixed with total panic of OMG I only have 8 more weeks left!  How is this going by so quickly?!?

We didn't take pics at 31 weeks because I was in the middle of the world's longest lasting sinus infection - I just wasn't interested in documenting that.  But here is 32.

We saw the doctor again, with nothing new to report.  His heartbeat was 138 and my weight is the same as it was last time.  Every time they listen to his heartbeat the nurse comments about how active he is "today".  I know.  I am VERY aware of how active he is all day every day - and night for that matter!  I have actually been sleeping really great lately - post sinus infection - there were a couple rough nights in there.  I have been having a lot of contractions lately too, but the doctor didn't seem too concerned.  They don't hurt at this point, just more annoying than anything really.

Ty's room currently looks like this.

Thanks to a giant box of Olsen's hand-me-downs that Kasey gave me that I just couldn't wait to open, but couldn't be bothered to put away.  Backwards progress.

At least someone is enjoying all the baby gear laying around.  We were sitting at breakfast yesterday and she told me in this really dramatic/sad/pathetic sounding tone "I miss my brudder."  She talks about "Ty Broccoli" all the time - let the nicknaming begin - but it is so sweet.  This week she has been really into hugging him - sure I will take the extra snuggles!

32 Weeks
All these pictures are taken in the same place, in front of the same wall on the same floor - neither of which we have changed since I was pregnant with Sawyer.  Guess that's the difference between using a real camera last time and my phone this time - I always thought that iPhone 5 camera was so great.  Or maybe its the photographer??????
