Christmas 2014: Part 1

Our Christmas celebration started as usual...on the road.  With DJ Sawyer.

We arrived in Yoakum the evening of the 23rd and Grandma had the cookies ready to be sprinkled!!

We woke up on Christmas Eve and opened gifts.  This year was especially fun because Sawyer is at an age where we were able to read parts of the Christmas story every day and she understands more about the meaning of Christmas and she gets SO, SO excited about presents!  And, Ty loved the paper.

Sawyer and Logan got a joint gift with this car and they were so into it!  Lots of memories to be made with these two out in the country.  We spent the afternoon with extended family at Grandma Cowan's house eating wonderful food, as usual, and enjoying the nice weather.

This Christmas, Sawyer was into anything and everything Disney Princess and when I asked her what she wanted for Christmas she would say "purple" or "clothes."  After a fun-filled afternoon, we made a quick outfit change, played with the tractor and headed off to church.

After church, we went about our usual tradition of tamales at Granny's house.  The kids especially enjoyed this box.  Ty was just watching them and giggling like crazy!

It was a quick visit, but we very much enjoyed our time there as usual!
