Logan's Birthday

I have always obviously been very excited for friends and family when they have babies, but now that I have a baby of my own its a totally different kind of excitement.  I just can't wait for them to experience the joy and pride that comes along with having a baby.  Cara & Derek became the proud parents of Logan Colt on October 16th...he is so cute and so perfect and it was such a special day!

Sawyer and I left school early to head to Sugar Land and pick up Barry on our way to Victoria.

Sawyer decided that napping on the almost two hour drive to the hospital was not for her.  Fantastic.  But, once we got there she was really busy hanging out with Brody & Blake.  Mostly stealing their snacks.  She thinks that everything that everyone else is eating is also for her.  Luckily, they were nice enough to share with "Saw-Saw."

They did a lot of playing, watching movies (and by movies I mean the Veggie Tales song.  Over and over and over), and hanging out with Grandma & Grandpa.

And then the no-napping effects started to set in...

Fortunately, she decided to forgo her dislike for snuggling-while-sleeping for the evening and fell asleep in Barry's arms.

But she woke up just in time for Logan to arrive!!

Love!  Sawyer is so blessed with having cousins close to her age.  Barry and I both have so many fun memories with our cousins; I hope that they grow up have having so much fun together like we did.  She's going to need to keep up with all these boys...or maybe they will need to keep up with her???

We are all very excited to welcome Logan to the family!

And, this is Logan and I hanging out today.  I was being quite the baby hog and I guess he was bored with me...
